A few days ago i visited the Libearty Sanctuary in Zărneșt (România) recognized as the largest and most ethical bear specialized animal sanctuary in not only Europe but the entire world. I went there not only to gather further information about the bear situation in România but also to film a large part of the footage that i will be using in the short film. Because i already have a lot of nature shots on their own but i didn't have a large number of clips with bears in them.
I am glad to say that this problem has been fixed. I filmed 20:20 minutes of footage altogether at the sanctuary which means that i have 34:37 minutes of raw footage available to me, considering my minimum goal was 15:00 i believe i passed that with flying colors.

Now for a little bit about the sanctuary.
The sanctuary is located in Zărneșt a smaller town near the south side of the Carpathian mountains. It has a population of roughly 26000 people. The sanctuary currently houses 120 bears on a 69 hectare (0.26 Miles) territory. The focus of the sanctuary is to save injured bears in the wild. All the bears are given specific names and a decently large area to live in even though it is still smaller than the one an adult bear would naturally require. The males are castrated not only to avoid overpopulation of healthy bears but also to stop possible reproduction based infighting among the bears. The visitors are separated from the bears by a metal wire fence and are separated from the metal fence by a wooden guardrail. The habitat of the bears is filled with trees and they even have a miniature lake in which they area able to swim. The whole tour road of the entire sanctuary is 2 kilometers (0.62 Miles) where other animal enclosures like domesticated animals and even wolves can be seen. I highly recommend visiting the sanctuary not only because of the incredible animals protected by the organization but for the incredibly informative tour guides, signs on the road, and videos that they play about the individual bears, the danger facing this species and the things people can do to help them.
