How and Why my project changed

I started working on my preliminary project (an adaptation of "A Study in Scarlet" by Arthur Conan Doyle) at the around the start of this year. However i thanks to my media studies tutor realized recently that due to a few factors i should start a new project and scrap the one i have been working on earlier.

The reasons for this decision are:

1: It would not have met the criteria for a preliminary magazine project. The minimum requirements for making a magazine as your preliminary project are for it to have: a cover with title, a contents page, and two pages with the actual content together with multiple pictures which need to be independently photographed or illustrated. After thinking about these criteria i realized that i can't create what i want to and satisfy these at the same time.

2: It was overly ambitious. A beginner writer shouldn't try to adapt one of the most acclaimed pieces of literature ever made that already has dozens of adaptations.

What am i making instead?

I eventually settled on making a magazine about two environmentalist organizations present in my home city of Târgu Mureș, România. These organizations are "Focus Eco Center" and "Milvus Group". I decided on this because it would be an interesting topic for a magazine and because i am familiar with both organizations.

So currently my plan is to create a cover, a contents page, and one page for each organization in which i will describe questions like: what they do, how they do it, how it benefits the environment, why is it important, what can You do to contribute. Accompanied by pictures and illustration that will be taken and created by me.

And so this is what i have planned for my second attempt at my preliminary project.
