AS level Project Magazine page design "sustainable citizen"

Besides the pages that are required (Contents page, and the ones about the organizations) i decided to create another one. This page is meant to show the habits and characteristics of a ecologically sustainable citizen with its main goal being to illustrate to the reader how they can contribute to the fight against pollution even as an average person with relatively few resources.

The idea was to make a silhouette of an ordinary looking person and put textboxes around it which will serve to highlight one specific action or habit, the textboxes will also be connected to the part of the person's body which is used to perform the action.

I first started by drawing the silhouette itself. Making sure it doesn't stick out in any way and for it to be in a vary casual position.

After this i decided that instead of making it completely black on the inside i will use a leafy pattern to batter communicate that this is a person who is living in symbiosis with their environment. The pattern i settled on was this:

I cut the silhouette out but decided to stress the previous point even further by drawing a few symbols and pattern inside it also.

I than proceeded to put it in front of a completely green background and add the text boxes.

Than i added the information in the textboxes. Corresponding to Thinking, Speaking, Eating, Feeling, Physical Activities and Ecological Footprint respectively.
